 | Think Smart -Travel Safe ! The new Think Smart- Travel Safe book is now available from Child-Safe. The book is an essential guide for school age children travelling abroad on part of a exchange or study course abroad. For many young people the experience of travelling abroad, particularly if it is their fist time can be very daunting. This book encourages young people to take responsibility in preparing for their trip, offers advice and guidance on how to stay safe. A free personal safety card is included with this publication, so every child can have any important information and contact details with them at all times.

The International School Award The International School Award is an accreditation scheme for curriculum-based international work in schools. The ISA scheme is supported and funded by the DfES. Extended Schools Initiative The DfES recognises the significant role of voluntary sector community and community organisations in supporting schools and local authorities to deliver extended services. They will be key to the successful delivery of extended services and local authorities and schools will need to draw on their expertise.
